- Q: What is batch searching?
A: Batch searching is the simultaneous processing of multiple search queries, or search terms, into website search bars that traditionally allow for only one query to be searched at a time. Our patent pending process allows websites to be search and data to be extracted faster than any dynamic search application that we know of, allowing productivity gains of up to 25,000%. Our technology is so unique, we strongly recommend first time visitors use the sample search and the free version on our home page to grasp the incredible, time saving power of this free tool.
- Q: Is the application easy to use?
A: Yes. You need only Cut and Paste a list of items into the batchSEARCH search box and hit Search. Unlike page scraping, harvesting, or data mining programs, there is no programming, coding, or html mapping of any kind. We offer a user-friendly user agent and web browser application that anyone can use. Our application is dynamic, which means you can search different lists of terms on different websites to suit your needs.
- Q: Is it for Personal and Non-Commercial Use only?
A: Yes. Absolutely and Exclusively with the sole exception for website/content owners
themselves. Only by documenting that You own/control the particular website being
searched may batchSEARCH ever be used in any other
manner (owners use batchSEARCH Enterprise!). Please
refer to the Membership Agreement for details on copyright, trademark, intellectual
property and other rights and property issues.
- Q: Is it for Personal and Non-Commercial Use only?
A: Yes. Absolutely and exclusively with the sole exception for website/content owners themselves. Please refer to the Membership Agreement for details on copyright, trademark, intellectual property and other rights and property issues.
- Q: How much does membership cost?
A: There is a FREE version of the tool on the home page with a 10 query limit. Our Upgrade page lists prices for wallet or subscription membership usage.
- Q: How many search terms can I enter at one time?
A: The FREE version allows 10 queries to be searched at one time. Wallet or subscription members may search up to 1000 queries on 4 websites simultaneously.
- Q: How many results can I get per search term?
A: The FREE version allows 10 results per query. Wallet or subscription members can extract the first page of results, up to 99 results per webpage. ENTERPRISE versions may vary.
- Q: How fast is the batchSEARCH application?
A: Search results should appear on your screen quickly, with larger batches requiring more time. Typically search results are delivered on screen within .3 to 2 seconds per search term. We have no way of verifying how Your internet connection, RAM, processor, and the particular server being queried can or will affect Your particular search processing and delivery speeds, but generally have designed this application to render website batched query results in the most efficient and productive manner possible.
- Q: How are the search results delivered?
A: All search results are rendered on your screen in streaming real time and may be viewed as individual search term/result folders, a master grid or in preview mode. Each result is hyperlinked directly to the website page from which it originated for quick access to details or to make purchases from the originating website. All search terms are returned in an indexed, formatted manner and the original entry order is maintained.
- Q: Will I be asked to enter CAPTCHA codes?
A: Sometimes. The batchSEARCH.com application is non-robotic and user controlled. CAPTCHA codes are designed to verify that humans are accessing a website and not robotic programs. The application generally renders all search results via an output grid on your screen but some sites may present a CAPTCHA screen to our users when they hyperlink to specific web pages. Since the application is controlled by users, codes can be entered and normal searching patterns quickly resume.
- Q: Can I batch search more than one website at a time?
A: Yes, up to 4 websites may be searched simultaneously and the results compared side-by-side. The search output grid, with its indexed and formatted structure, then becomes a powerful price, product, and inventory comparison tool.
- Q: Can I save the search outputs?
A: Paid members may save results strictly for personal and non-commercial use. Click the Save Results button to instantly open up the results in Excel or your default spreadsheet application. Users can then save to the folder of their choice or perform additional sorting and data management functions.
- Q: Which websites can be batch searched?
A: The batchSEARCH.com Product page contains a list of our pre-designed products which allow batch searching of popular sites like eBay, Amazon, Home Depot, Target, Google. - Q: What are the two main types of sites to batch search?
A:
1) Public sites that contain items of interest, items for purchase, valuable data, or competitor information, and
2) Your own site. This allows your customers to more effectively shop and search your site and potentially increases your ranking and ad revenue through dramatic growth in page views, clicks, and overall visitor traffic.
- Q: How is batchSEARCH different from Screen
Scraping or Web Harvesting programs?
A:
1) batchSEARCH is user controlled and non-robotic;
2) batchSEARCH requires only the ability to Cut
and Paste. Scrapers and harvesters are quite difficult to use and require HTML mapping,
coding, intensive help tutorials, or paid professional help;
3) batchSEARCH is a live, on-screen, dynamic search,
purchasing and research tool. Scraping and harvesting generally require manually
coded programs to robotically collect and store data;
4) batchSEARCH features dynamic queries with one
page of depth and harvesting features static queries with unlimited page depth or
crawling results.
5) batchSEARCH is priced substantially lower than
most scraping and harvesting programs and services. See your membership Agreement
for full details.
- Q: Can I request a new site?
A: Yes, by using the Enterprise request form. General interest, public sites will be added to the batchSEARCH.com available sites based user requests and product demand. Site owners may request batchSEARCH-Enterprise be added to their own site to increase traffic, revenue, and rankings.
- Q: I own a website, can my visitors batch search my site?
A: Yes. batchSEARCH.com highly recommends Requests be sent to us from current site owners, especially for sites that contain a large inventory of items for sale. Your visitors are likely to use your site more, view more pages and ads, buy more products, and refer your site to others more often when they experience the simplicity and efficiency of batch searching. Your search rankings may improve drastically. Click the Enterprise button to fill out and send your request form today!
